China Having A Soft Landing

Welcome to the third issue of Growing With China, our monthly publication looking at the Chinese economy, the economic relationship between New Zealand and China, and how NZ businesses can go about developing exports into the fast growing Chinese market.
This month we start off with a look at NZTE’s just released 96 page “Navigating China” publication which contains information every business contemplating trading with China should read through.
We then look at the method offered by NZ Post for getting NZ goods onto www.ule.com.hk After that we summarise learnings from the “Go Global International Business Conference” held in Auckland last month, examine the latest data on the state of China’s economy (still a soft landing) and present guest commentaries.
This month we have a column from Chris Ryan from the University of Waikato Management School looking at tourism, then Wayne Tucker writes about wine exports to China. Paul Hoskin of the Auckland Buisness School also makes some observations gleaned partly from his annual MBA class study trip to China.
